Very interesting, but quite daunting to a neophyte,

I watched all 5 videos. Truly amazing. I don't know which is more impressive; that, or a 25+ pc. band (or orchestra) all playing together in perfect sync. Just a thought; he has backups for everything but what if something happened to HIM in the middle of a concert? Wonder if HE has a backup (a musician that could both play all the parts AND operate the rig). That much reliance on technology has got to leave you at least a little bit vulnerable. JMO.

Everything doen rrough Mainstage as a host...

For keyboard instruments, Mainstage is the perfect host..

If Varranger would be apple compatible... Combining Varranger, mainstage, ableton live/ Logic X (and maybe band in a box) would make a perfect setup... Using an ipad pro for touchscreen controll... Just add any harware you want...

They have the technology covered. The musicians are key to the show. They can probably carry on without him, and cover his parts, however if Billy Joel lost his voice or got sick in the middle of the show that's the end of the show.

"If Varranger would be apple compatible"

Or, if Mainstage was pc compatible.

Who wants to make music on a lattency hugging PC... The whole MAC OSX is build with realtime processing in mind... The whole Windows PCs arent... On a Mac everything works allways and latency free...

On top of that both Logic and Mainstage are apple propriety products owned by apple... Logic comes at €200 where comparable daws like live and cubase cost €700 in their pro version... Mainstage is only €30 and comes with one of the best VST collections available... But will never be on a PC...

And Dan, indeed does not have any plans to create a MAC version, so this will probably not ever happen this decade...

I have said a few times now, i almost never touch them anymore... Since i have the kronos and Tyros 5, there is no reason to do so.... Both equall the quallity of the VST's.. I try to stay away from computers these days in my free time (working with computers all day at my job) its much more enjoying sitting behind a kwyboard and trying to play music, then programming computers tomdo so....
