Ok Rikki thanx for all your hhelp.... I know the problem now...

The folders of styles I was trying to audition had a .STY and wouldn't read off the USB stick in the Pa4x direct access......
but I now tried other styles with .SET as you suggested and they can be auditioned perfectly before deciding to use them,load them or whatever..

great function isn't.

I think I had some of my styles saved to pa3x favourites11 and 12 folders , (whereas pa4x only goes to favourites 10, ) and I think it was the ones I had in 11 and 12, they weren't showing up either in direct.

Bit of a learning curve because some things have changed, but it's WORTH it.
