After you tweak, edit, save, create, record, songbook, etc, etc,.....
what is the best way to backup and save your work on the Kb, USb, Pc?
I remember saving Two separate things with my Pa3x, Pa900,...
is it the same.... ?

thanx

I save on the internal drive, and then again, on the USB drive. That way if I somehow loose the USB, or it becomes corrupted, the backup is internal.

- Save.ALL procedure saves all USER data but with reference to User Banks only.
- Full Resource back-Up saves all that Save.ALL does (nothing is excluded) and in addition it can save
all Factory bank headers (never factory waveforms) with reference to User PCM data or SSD Rom waveforms.
In other words , this is the only back-up that can save factory banks modifications plus all your custom user work !!
Note that OS can never be saved in a BKP file !

Summary , Full Resource back-Up is quite enough for all your modified resources of Pa3X , and no further
Save.ALL back-up is required ,except if partial user data access is needed !

Hi Donny
I do both .
The save all is great because it allows you to load back in ,individual items.
Just say something goes wrong with the song book, you delete something you didn't mean to. From save all , you can just load songbook data, without loading back the rest of the files.

You can't do that with back-up .

Be on the safe side and do both.

I always name mine to make sure I can tell which is the latest. I keep copies going back 2 to 3 versions and delete the oldest as I go.
At the moment whilst you're still getting back into the swing of things, you can't have too many.

I don't back up or save all everyday, just when I've done work on various items.

For instance , if all I have done for the day is modify or organise some styles.
I just do a save of the styles as I go.
I accidentally lost a whole week of style editing on my pa800. I hadn't saved the bank, said yes to the wrong popup and accidentally deleted the bank.

Just be careful with that direct function, I accidently hi lighted the whole bank on the usb stick instead of an individual style, saw them disappearing in front if my eyes. Fortunately I had the USB stick backed up.

Everybody has their own way of saving stuff.

Good advice. Thanks Donny for bringing it up, as I forget to do it often enough.
