KORG Pa4x how to start style with selected STS sound?

after creating a song book entry lets just say MY WAY and I assign Piano to STS #2 as my starting sound......
then save it to songbook,....when I go back to that song in the songbook the keyboard reverts back to STS #1 Accordion....

how do I save songs with the sound I want to begin with STS#2 Piano? what step am I missing here?..

thanx

Donny,

What I would before doing the save on Songbook go to STS#2 Piano and be sure it's the chosen voice you want for STS#2

Then in Songbook go to the 2nd tab that's labeled "book edit 1" then in the middle of the screen you will see "Keyboard Set" . Usally the so called radio button is set to "All" and is colored green. At this point you need to choose the radio button under all. You should then see Piano on the screen then simply save it to whatever location you want, you could actually choose 1, 2, 3 or 4. depending on where you'd like that voice saved. Hope that helps.

Steve I have no problem assigning sounds to my STS styles etc, to locations 1,2,3,4 ....... what I need is when I select a style in songbook I want a certain STS sound to be already to go....hope thats clearer? lets say I want to start the songs with STS4........how do I make sure that happens without it reverting to STS1 as it has been now?

Donny, maybe I'm not understanding your question but from what I read seems like that is the way to get it done. Ok I'm sure someone else will weigh in on this.

I always move the sound I want to use first to the #1 keyset position. You can do it in Songbook or to the style itself. I use Songbook.

Don I understand BUT.... Thats NOT the way I set up my sounds for playing .....Yamaha lets you assigning any sound OTS to the registration so it's there when you select the song....
why does KORG always revert to STS#1.. I always set my song sounds in a very logical order almost like the variation progression so I dont have to even think about where they are in the STS....the songbook saves everything else why not STS positioning? unless Im missing a step or???

None instrument is perfect...

You need to addapt to what the instrument offers you.. If the feature isnt there, you need to addapt and make the way of Korg yours.. Mostly its just a matter of time...

so your saying this CANNOT BE DONE in the Pa4x? If not that's a problem that certainly needs to be addressed in the next Update OS for sure..

Don't get me wrong,......I Love the Pa4x big time it really sounds amazing, we all like to navigate the KB in different ways to suit our playing needs,I can adapt as i have done for many years, workarounds is my middle name just sayin'.....I can live with just selecting an Sts with the well located buttons before I start the song as unlike Yamaha you can see your Sts sounds on the Tilt display easily,...
The Korg Pa4x has addressed many of MY needs beyond my expectations and I'm finding new kool features exploring it all the time.I know I made the right choice. cool2
