I am using the yamaha HS7, thats a 6,5" woofer and 1" tweeter..
I am using them because of their very accurate sound..
And only as studio monitors

They are active monitors and have more then enough power for my little home studio...
Tough i barely use them, i mostly play with headsets on.

I had the rokit 10, but they where stolen, rokits are top knotch to... You cant go wrong with either of these if you vallue a naturall neutrall soundspectrum... Both are active nearfield monitors of the highest quallity... When i bought the Yamaha's i did a direct sound comparison between both connected to the Tyros 5.. I prefered the yamaha's but only slightly. They also work good with the Kronos..

Using Studio monitors are great for getting the exact detail for recording and close distance monitoring, but if your using them to set-up for live play, you might want to reconsider, since it will most likely sound very different in a live situation

All good advice Frank,.....I always have to mix using 3,or 4 different sources to get just the right balance so the songs sound good on anything its played on its a real juggling act to Master & get it right.
