It would appear to me that despite the Yamaha Tyros 5 being three years old that it actually has more advanced and additional features in both MIDI Song and Audio Record mode.
PA4X Backing Sequence (Quick Record), Step Backing Sequence, 16 Track MIDI Sequencer, and Audio Recording are just other names for the same features on the Tyros 5. Step Recording, Recording Chords, Re-Recording a Specific Section—Punch In/Out (Realtime Recording), Editing Channel Events of Existing Song Data, and basically the same audio recording features with the Tyros 5 Audio Recorder/Player.
In addition, the Tyros 5 offers Keyboard and Vocal Practice Using the Guide Function, Playing Backing Parts with the Performance Assistant, and Vocal Cancel, Time Stretch, Pitch Shift, and Loop Markers in the Audio Recording/Player Section.
Audio Multipads and Audio Style sections can also be recorded by the Audio Recorder plus MP3 playback.
Regards, Marcus
