Jeff's a GREAT player, buy he is not an expert on instruments. Attached to this piece is one where he's talking about his instruments. He keeps showing an ES 175 and calling it an L-5. Mentions that it is the "Scotty Mo0re" guitar. Scotty played an ES-295 (essentially, a gold ES 175 with P-90's and a bigsby), first; then an L-5, which has a longer bout, humbuckers and a rounded cut.

This is probably because he's a Strat man...a real guitar innovator and a living piece of rock and roll history. (Good choice of bass player and singers, too!).

Yeah I have only seen Jeff playing Stratocasters whenever I have seen him live. Jeff is much more into collecting cars than guitars. His passion is building Hot Rods. Strats give him the treble cut he needs playing with his thumb rather than using a guitar pick.

Saw him live in Dublin 18 mths ago, he had a great sound with a nice backing band. He looked about 35. The highlight of the show for me and my son,who was with me,was when Jeff tossed his bottleneck into the audience, my son caught it. A very quiet guy, came as shy which was nice for a change, none of the star sh*t.

That was a great catch !!!! Jeff is all about the music and none of the BS. He has been playing live for over 50 years now and is a true legend.
