1- after making edits to a style etc, I can save it to songbook ok.... but, when I click drop down menu to save it to the style itself its grayed out!!...
what am I doing wrong is there a lock for this or?

2- I can save factory sounds to KB set ok.....
But, after selecting a Legacy sound eg: Octave Strings, how can I save it to user keyboard set for later use,.. it wont let me?

You need to save the style changes into a user location first, then save THAT style to the songbook.

Or uncheck "factory style protection" and then you can save it like that. Although it is better to save them to user area.

Was looking for factory lock???? 3x had it?

Factory Protect , turn off blue square.

Different to Pa3x as far as I can tell, I did the following, there may be better ways?

Legacy sounds.

After i changed the sound I named it strings. ( this is with a user style)
Dropdown menu .
Write Keyboard set to style
Chose from keyboard set 1-4 ( I chose 1) and named it. Strings.
So now it came up in that style as keyboard set 1.

So then, if I wanted to use strings keyboard set with other styles,
Drop down men
Write keyboard set to library.
Choose location.
Write.
It's now part of my user library of keyboard sets.

Now if I want to use strings keyboard set with a different style, I just find it under user.

New style
Locate strings in user keyboard library set.
Drop down menu
Write keyboard set to style. Into one of the four keyboard set locations.
Now I can use in new style.

I will check it out.... Blue dot? HMMNMM?

I'm having to relearn some of this stuff too.
Some of the new terminology , gets a bit confusing.
It is better though, just has to sink in. Haha
Surprised how much I had forgotten in the 18 months I didn't my keyboards.

iSome of the functions have changed a bit within these settings, but I think of it as

keyboard sets, ( used to be sts's in pa3x/ ots in PSR )

keyboard set library ( used to be performances in pa3x / and similar to registrations in psr)

Then it all makes a bit more sense to me. Haha
