This is the first US price for the SD40 I saw on the net. It is $400 higher than Thomann.

No way this is logical. The only thing to make a slight difference may be the shipping cost, but $400 pr unit??
I've always learned that Norway is a part of Europe, but probably not when it comes to pricelevel for Ketron ....
Why not same gap when buy Roland, Yamaha, Korg etc. ???

Yeah, I know. Order from Thomann and free shipping, works great, but if/when service needed, it's not just around the corner to make things done....

wow for a few bucks more instead of just a module you can get a KORG Pa4x.....just sayin..

Sometimes you are better of with a module.. Not everyone has the same needs, and this module happens to have the best styles in the world (opinion)

Anyway, overhere in europe, the sd40 is 1700, and the PA4x is 3200, thats not just a few bucks more...

1700 euro gets you a pa900 or PSR S970

I was looking at US prices.... That said I'd still wait 6 months to see what turns up, bugs, etc, ...

Thats allways wise, and even wiser when it handles about Ketron... They do have a track record..

I don't know exactly why but on many occasions things whether made here or elsewhere are cheaper in the US than the rest of the world. I am sure eventually the price of the SD40 will come down at least to that of Thomann. The SD40 looks samll enough for travel, but it is larger than my Desktop arranger by V3 Sound.
