I am enjoying the Korg Pa4X but I am finding it difficult to be able to treak the drum sections to my liking. I would like to raise the
cymble volumes on occasion but cannot find a way to do so.
I know some of you Korg guys(Don)can help me so please let me know how
to do so. Thanks, Lloyd

Hi Lloyd

my answer to a similar post over on Korg forums a couple of weeks ago.

------------------
Hi
I'll go thru what I do.

Choose Style
Select / hi light Drum Track

Then
Press Menu Button
Choose Track Controls
Choose Drum edit
Hi light Bass Drum ( or whatever)
Press play ( start/stop) so you can hear track playing
To make sure it's working, I turned bass volume up and down so I know it is working.
Then changed some of the other settings.
If it's playing you can hear changes in realtime as you're doing them.
When finished
Dropdown menu and write.
Not sure what the different ones do, but I really only want to save mine for this particular style, so I've done it as current style settings.

Isolate the cymbal in the edit drum kit.
Select velocity and raise this parameter, to your liking.

Hi Donny
it really is, especially for non onboard factory styles.
Wish I'd thought to check it out years ago on the pa800, would have saved hours on drum editing my psr to Korg conversions.
Even though I had created XG mapped kits for the styles, one style would sound really quite good, try another one and the drum volumes were all wrong. So I 'd edit kit, back and forth.
In the end I left the kits alone and edited the drum tracks in the styles.

If only I had thought to check out the DrumEditor function and change the volumes that way. So simple.
Took another 6 years and a new keyboard till I finally realised what a great function I had been missing out on.
Wise in hindsight. Haha
