I would think they made it single to take out and gig with it?

This video shows why Wersi players love having 2 manualls...

The incredible Florian Hutter shows some really nice organ licks...
This is obviously also the reason why Wersi sticks to very basic styles, because thats all that organ players like Florian need, just a basic beat..

Try lugging around this very heavy board. And the price is
way out of line. Styles are not up to par with Korg or
Ketron. Wersi will need to lower price a lot to attract
buyers. Lloyd

The OAX 1 will be good for at least 10 years (OAS lasted for 16 years) and is constantly being updated with new features and sounds etc. so taking into account the number of boards you will have bought during that time (Losing money every time you change your board), you will have spent more than the cost of the OAX 1. (Wersi & Bohm Instruments have always been about long term investments, not a quick turnover)

If you’re looking for the Wersi sound in a light portable instrument, then the Pegasus Wing is what you need to be looking at. (OAX (Like OAS) is organ 1st and keyboard 2nd)

There is no right or wrong choice in whatever you buy, it’s purely what you prefer.

They must have a good following to stay in business, Organ affectionatos enjoy that style of music. Frequent updates alleviates buying a whole new unit also....I like that idea. I get all nostalgic when I hear it myself....so many choices for todays musician and that's a good thing.

Its hard for non European organ players to understand what makes Wersi so great... OAX will imdeed last you atleast 10 years.. its incredible expansive and lightyears ahead of the rest with VST support as well as the user interface and the buildquallity..

Yet it is stil aimed at the organ player, and not as much at the arranger players... and this makes for people on this forum the high price hard to understand. But then, the best thing of Wersi is that they keep developing and adding features..

But not all new features are free of costs, many of the high end features in OAS where payed expansion packs.. so where people buy new instruments every 4 years, Wersi players buy more expansions... keeping overall life costs high for both musicians...

If Wersi really wants to compete with the Korg Pa4x, Ketron SD9 pro or Tyros 6, then they need to improve some of the major arranger features, out of the box style quallity and advancing the SFX effects to support midi phrases like true multipads do and not just audio samples...

This small youtube playlist shows the sound of OAX, the OAX 1 has exactly the same capabillities as the bigger OAX organs... you can split and layer 16 sounds over the manualls and the pedals(in advanced mode). Soundwise and processorpowerwise these instruments are identical...

Enjoy...

Service has always been a problem with Wersi. Spend a lot of money for a Wersi and when it's time for repair or service they don't know you. It's better in the USA with Ralph Conti in Lancaster,'
PA.

Obviously you haven’t dealt with Wersi in Europe, since Music Store (One of the biggest Musical Instrument Retailers in Europe) bought the brand in 2010.

Music Store has a splendid service record... so do the other Wersi locations like Wersi Nord, Wersi Hochrhein, Wersi Nederland.. they all have excellent service and their own repair service...

Good thing about Wersi is since they use standard PC parts, most things can allways be replaced...

Actually if you want good personal service, i would adviise people to buy a Wersi at one of the above dealers.
