Nice job Donny, but I feel about this song, like many feel about "My Way" ... I don't stray too far from the original style. I kind of treat it as an homage to EC. It's a pretty special song for me (female NON-disclosed), so I love doing it the way it first touched me. In fact, I almost always close my night with it. GREAT, great song.
BTW - I always say "...brushes her AUBURN hair" hee, hee

Really nice job, Donny, I always enjoy your vocals ...
That said, while I enjoy the freedom an AKB gives me to play songs of different genres in different styles (and I have performed "Wonderful Tonight" in an easy raggae style), IMHO some songs just come off better in something close to the original style ...
But I don't think chas' request was meant to start a 'critique' on performances, but to listen to the sounds and styles of different boards ... in that regard, I thought the track sounded really nice and especially liked the guitar solo ...
And knowing that Donny puts together many of his own tracks makes it even better ...

Donny, your vocals sound just as good as they did the very first time I heard you sing, which was many, many years ago. However, with this particular song, I guess I'm more of a traditionalist and would like to have heard the style and guitars of Eric Clapton brought forth with your rendition.

Keep on truckin' old friend,

Nice, Donny. Very pretty. This one slipped by me somehow, so I don't know what the original sounded like, but maybe that's a good thing 'cause I like your arrangement.

Loved your rendition Donny.
Great songs remain great when done using different styles. Clapton style-Michael Bubble style-Don Pesci style. All great. Can't do that so much with say.....an ACDC tune.
Your vocal? Always great!
Which board was this done on?

NM I went back and saw it was the 970.
Great board, loving mine
