As my eyesite slowly slides over a diabetes-influenced cliff (found out too late - get your sugar tested people!!!) I find the standard display on my Tyros just a little bit hard to see, or more precisely I can't just glance at it to read it properly I have to take time and concentrate - and time is usually at a premium on a live gig.
Therefore I need a larger external monitor. Clearly a standard PC monitor would do the trick however they are all quite a bit larger and somewhat obtrusive. So I've had a look for something a bit smaller.
Noseying around EBay and Amazon, this "Boblov Eyoyo 11.6" display turns up in a number of places (and indeed with other names but they all look the same):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Boblov-Eyoyo-Mo...ywords=11.6+tftSo as this is the size I was after I bit the bullet and bought one.
Result! Using the VGA connection it scales to fill the full screen and is really easy to see. I'd happily recommend this screen to others. It also has composite video input and so should be compatible with most video outputs. There's HDMI input as well.
Also I've managed to create a quite professional looking mount using this adapter from Thomann:
https://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_tyros_device_holder.htm?ref=search_rslt_tyros_349498which will happily hold this Pulse "LCD Monitor Mic Stand Mount"
http://www.pulse-audio.co.uk/5051259011182.shtmlonto which I bolt the LCD (it uses a 75mm VESA mounting system). I had to rummage to get some suitable short bolds (3mm diameter?) but no real panic. There are some bolts provided with the Mic Stand Mount but they didn't feel quite right although the smaller diameter of the two sets provided looked the right size.
The resulting assembly simply slots into one of the keyboard stand / loudspeaker mounting points on the rear of the keyboard and is nicely solid.
I can (try to) post a picture if you like, certainly I could email one to anyone interested.
