I have a Yamaha PSR-S970 and would like to save a favorites type list of patches that I can access from one screen while playing live. I'm not using any style or auto accompniment, just playing the keyboard live to augment my instrument choices while playing with my band. I realize that the display defaults to the last selected sound in a category, but I would prefer to have all the sounds I use thru out the evenings gig, accessible from one screen. I don't see any reference for a "favorites" list in my operations manual.

Thank you for your assistance.

I copy my favourite voices into a small number of folders in the user memory, folder names like "pads" 'Lead" "brass" and so on

I make up banks of 8 regs nested inside of a folder named "BAND". I name them as a general category and keep the "INFO" screen on to see all 8 names, right 1, right2, and left voices at once. I prefer this method, as I sometimes use split and combi sounds.

You know you can modify the existing voices, ones that you use regularly, tweak and tune them to perfection, then save them to the user area with all of the changes you made and recall them instantly, or link them to other styles, or registrations. The process is very easy, the results are incredible, and access is via a single button push to a page of 10 of your favorite voices.

All the best,

Gary cool

You can make also splits and or layers, you can put up to 2 sounds for the Right hand, and if split, one sound for the left side...
I would recommend to use the Registrations......
I will attach one registration with a split, so you can see, also on this one, I have a 3 way split, and I am using a style, that you can either choose to use or not, if not, just take out the ACCOMP out.
