Just heard it on the evening news and I'm very sad. One of the great voices in Blues. Lived down here in Savannah near us. I had hoped to catch a local concert with his new band someday.
Just went and listened to Whippin Post and it stiil hits me as hard as it did years ago.
The AB music will live on and inspire musicians aa it did me for a long time

RIP Gregg Allman. It was about 1971 maybe 1972 I walked into a Radio Shack store and they had playing on one of their Realistic Stereo systems "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" from the album "At The Filmore East." I went right to one of the local record stores and bought the album.
