With the internet people's buying habbits have changed...

People buy instruments when they are newly released. If an instrument is 2 years old, they barely make any sales, as people will have started wayting amd saving their money for a new upcomming release...

People in this age, know much much better what to expect from companies like Korg amd Yamaha.. and only a very few lay out a huge amount of money for a 3 year old instrument.

I agree with both your statements. With YouTube demos, discussion forums, 30 day return policies, and price comparisons buying online is very attractive. No more trying out a board in a store with some guitar player blasting his Smoke on the Water riff or being next to the drum section . And the salespeople in these stores are just not up on keyboards.
Its a shame but knowledgeable people like Frank and George in Calif. are a rarity.
Must be nice to try something out live and have someone there who can answer your questions.

Places like Sweetwater, with their great customer service, take most of the fear out of Internet buying for sure.

Strange thing is, overhere in Holland, you can get better deals in local stores then the standard prices in online shops..

And you get a whole lot of service to boot..
All major towns have atleast one specialised keyboard shop
And people there know what theybare talking about..
