I know Band in a Box will let me create a chord sheet and send those chords to my arranger so that the arranger will play the backing tracks. Is there an IOS app that will let me do the same thing? I really like the BIAB chord sheet interface for fleshing out songs, but would like to do it on my iPad and my arranger to play the backing tracks.

Have you looked at this ?

The iPad app is actually just an adjunct to PC based BIAB, where you still layout the chord sheet, then transfer it to the iPad based app, which acts, primarily, as a "player". The iPad will only connect to "Class Compliant" devices, so if you plan to connect to your arranger's USB "To Host" port, that host port must be "Class Compliant". If you plan to connect via 5-pin-DIN MIDI, you will need a "Class Compliant" USB-MIDI Adapter. Amazon has these Adapters starting for about $10 USD, but for reliable operation, you need to stay with the name brands (M-Audio, EMU, Yamaha, Roland/Edirol, etc), which typically go for about $50-$60. In either case, if you have an older iPad, you will also need a Camera Connection Kit, as that is the older models' interface to the "outside world".

Thanks for the suggestion. The Band in a Box app doesn't work with Midi. It contacts the desktop version and generates audio tracks that are then transferred to the app. So it won't do what I want to do.
