I was once a vivid ableton user... however..
For the more simple things like recording Logic X or Cubase work better..

Where ableton shines is a host for a live performance and backing

I've tried many including Abelton... but for me I always go back to Acoustica MIXCRAFT 8 Pro suits my needs all around...
with great support too.
