Reading Nigel's reaction to his new "Axe" is one of the highlights of recent times...as much for the significance of the joint effort as anything else. This made my year!

It's an honor to know you guys and a real joy to see the enjoyment in Nigel's reaction.

Lots of appreciation and good feelings to all,

Russ

Russ, you and your little band of elves did a great job putting this wonderful project together. I'm sure the sentiments behind it are not lost on Nigel. Lots of great people on this forum. BTW, I keep watching for the UPS truck to drop off one of your B3's on my doorstep smile smile.

Chas, today, I'd get the SK-1 set-up. I bought the 61 note version to use on one-nighters, over an arranger, but am thinking about putting the 73 top and bottom units together with the right case. My old instruments are worn out and rough as cobs. I do have a really pretty C-3 (church organ) I got when My grandfather replaced a brand new C (this one) with a Rogers electronic pipe organ before he died. It's almost perfect, but would have to add percussion, and the case is fully closed.

I was planning to bring my little SK-1 with me on my next trip, which, because of trade show deadlines, has to be this month.

It's pretty cool. And that comes from a real hardliner, who liked but wasn't completely satisfied with he Nord.

Hope to see you soon.

Russ the H78 guitar you organized for me is the most amazing surprise I have had for many many years. It really is a magic guitar that continues to bring me so much pleasure.

It is my absolute honor, friend. There is a bond between guitar players that is unlike what players of different instruments share.

The fact that I played the original, and paid my way thru college with it makes this even cooler.

Neither of us would buy one of these as the only instrument we have, but it's really cool to have and enjoy.

Plus, I may actually remember a little about playing this one (LOL)!

Enjoy dinner, and have a happy hour priced cocktail (today's prices, you know).

I think Kerry is sweet, and also feisty. I like the feisty side a lot! You guys are GREAT together!

And we ALL appreciate the "Zone" and the work you guys put into maintaining it.

I've told you before, it's the only site I visit regularly.

Be well,

Russ (Tone Master # 2) Lay

Chas, I think you and Don are the biggest of the "little" elves.

I personally appreciate your involvement. In fact, I think you were the first to know about the project and the first to sign on.

Keep it up and you'll earn lifetime "honorary Redneck" status.

YAHOO!

R.

P.S. Constable Don's endorsement was critical. You know no one here would believe much of what an old "jazzer" would say or do! (I Kid...I Kid). Thanks, all!

Those gold foil pickups really are a treat to play. They love tubes.
