That's a great sound, but I think the melody is about 3 times too loud for the mix. Common fault of many arranger players (including myself, at times) we tend to concentrate on the parts we play the "most live" and like to zone in and listen to that part above the rest. Good demo of the new features, and it shows off the great guitar sound ... it's just not a good mix IMHO

I agree Dave you gotta learn how to sit in the mix only years of experience on stage teaches you that playing with others...

Also blame it on the instruments, way to often the righthand sounds outballance the style..

As a basic rule for ballancing i try to get the solo sound on par with guitar, drums and bass.. and push the rest of the accompaniment to the backgorund.. and start working from. There.

Question;

When you have the master volume at 12 o’clock, and latter move the master volume to 3 o’clock, do hear a difference in the Acc. -- solo and balance? I find the Mic works that way also.

I spend time balancing everything at 12---- and when I play it back a 3 --- it’s not the same.

It all should increase informally together using three master volume..

John, I have done that many times. I found, with me anyway, I would balance left, right, and accmp in the studio only to find the left hand sound was too soft in a noisy room, and of coarse, never balance it with headphones. It is kind of the same thing in a small quiet room.

"Live" thats what the sliders are for on the pa4x...
