I am thinking of using a stereo passive DI Box between my sd7 and qsc touchmix 16 mixer.or should I just plug directly to the mixer?.whic one is better method?Or just a waste of money on the di box. Thanks for any inputs.

I plug right into mixer no problems..less is more

I can't imagine needing a direct box if you're within reach of the mixer. DIs are intended for long runs (snakes etc), or impedance matching. You mixer has inputs that handle all that.

DI.s are a must in large house control mixers..

Every concert , large outdoor events, has to feed the mixer with correct impedance .. thus eliminating hum and poor quality audio..
