Recently, a local Technics Service Technician told me that he heard that the Samsung organization is going to buy out the Technics line from Panasonic to mfg and distribute parts and new instruments compatible with the old Technics line.

Does anyone have a direct enough connection with the Samsung organization to be able to confirm or deny if this rumor is true or not.

If it is, when might this take place?

It could happen but..........
So far several different dealers and other people have advised me about different companies that are buying Technics from Matsus..ta. I have not commented on any of them as I think they are all rumors. I am in the stock market everyday and I follow Matsus and no word from them either, other then that they are totally restructuring and their stock is slowly moving up. NO. this is not a reccomendation to buy
I guess we will know in the fullness of time.
