I just got a new(ish) laptop and I can't find the software CD that came with the KN2600 I bought new. Supplier of keyboard can't help and I've scoured the WWW looking for anywhere I can download them from without success. I've emailed Panasonic but no reply yet ...

I don't even remember what they are called though I know there was a USB driver and a Song Manager, can't rem if there was anything else??

Does anyone know where they can be downloaded from?

Aprilla

I have an original Technics apps/drivers disk for the KN2600. I originally had a KN2400 but upgraded to a KN7000 and somehow managed to keep the KN24/2600 disk.

If you would like me to post it to you just send me an e-mail with your address and its yours.

Hope I can be of help.

Alan

that would be wonderful! I'll look for your email to send my address (email sent). I live in Ireland, where are you? If you accept paypal I could pay the postage that way.

One of the other posts wanted to know why we should keep this forum. The help demonstrated in this post is one of the reasons as I see it. I am not from the south but you all are a great bunch.

I'm actually in Ireland

What you say is so true. But I can understand why semipro & professional musicians worry, they have to consider their equipment for their livlihood. So, how long before upgrading is necessary for the pros, especially as many will be looking at a new learning curve along with conversions etc etc...

It's a double edge thing. I, as an amateur, really enjoy hearing what the pros & others more knowledgable than me, are doing with their keyboards. It is they that put the time and effort into learning the bells & whistles, and me (also their audience) that reaps the benefit. Though many of us amateurs will no doubt continue with our Technics I can see that eventually the pros will have to change to another brand, leaving the rest of us to discuss the weather while we try to find out what all these buttons do... LOL

But until that day - enjoy!

Aprilla, very well said, the pro musician must move on to keep up with the times. Knowing this I feel I must make the move but after so many years with Technics keyboards I am finding it is very difficult to sell my KN7000, it is one fine keyboard.

Aprilla, keep asking questions, John C.
