Our friend Don Reeves has passed away. His wife answered my last email. Here is what she said: I’m so sorry to tell you that my Don passed away on August 28th…He had a severe allergic reaction to his newest chemo drug…It affected his lungs and required high doses of oxygen …they tried to treat it with high doses of steroids but it didn’t work….it is so heartbreaking..his wife Winn"

What an absolutely beautiful song? And sung with such a beautiful voice?
I don't know how else to say it, but just "say it."
Who is Don Reeves? I've been in this group quite a while now and I just can't remember who he is.
What is the history of this song? What was the reason he wrote this song? Was the song done in a studio? With an arranger or a guitar? What is his history in the group? Did he post much?
I didn't realize we had such a talent in the group. I don't know him but I feel really bad anyway that such a talented person "passed." Again.....that really is a great song he wrote...both melody and lyrics.

Don lived in Canada. He was a tremendous singer, musician and was deeply religious. He wrote some excellent songs, one of them for me, in recognition of a personal event that I had shared with him. He loved to fish, sing, make music and share his faith. He was a good friend, even though I never met him in person.

And.......he lost his daughter somehow? And wrote that song to fit the situation? ......and those other questions I asked? That song really fascinates me. And I guess the writer (Don) also fascinates me.
