I love my Audya but wow Very impressive Love the huge screen, editing capabilities, DSP Ease of use, the OS
I think the Audya, Ketron , needs to step up their game Especially in the hardware department
Great demos out there, especially the 1/2 hr one Kraft Music Worth watching
I still love Audya but Ketron should be worried You may have missed it, there is now a new Ketron sd9.. Which has very innovative features like the new pads feature.. Where it comes to styles and innovation Ketron is still ahead Where it comes to individual sounds Yamaha is master and commander And where it comes to pro featuress And edditabillity and flexibillity, korg pa4x still leads If you want the best of Yamaha, get a Montage Add the ketron sd40... and you outperform the Genos in all levels

SD7 was not improvement over AUDYA in my opinion SD9?? i will check it out but, what does it really have over the AUDYA, sound wise? few new loops? are DRUMS all audio like AUDYA? i think the SD7, it was not,
is it me or does this SD series looks very, very cheap, especially the buttons? can we make something look MODERN and not boxy?
and on the hardware side? processor, memory, do we have 500mb, or 1tb? RAM, ROM? memory is super cheap, why do we deal with 400mb,?? everything now is in the GB size
a keyboard should not have less memory than an iphone
don't mean to knock Ketron, as i love their stuff, but come on!!!

I will have to say that eventhough the SD7 and SD9 have some newer goodies, the venerable Audya is still a keyboard to be reckoned with. Now, the SD40(to me), is a different story as I could use it in conjunction with other instruments with a small 4LB footprint. I am thinking it and my SK1 Hammond.

Dream on, buddy....along with us, the others who believed that Ketron will put up with the big guys and develop a modern OS addressing to us, musicians, not to the dj's.... Not to mention the bugs in Audya and MIDJPro... they'll never be cleaned out...
