Chuck is a typical piano player that does not have a clue what todays arranger keyboards are about...

Yet he gets excited over a basic arranger... most likely the first he ever forced himself to try... Imagine if he seriously tried a Tyros5..

I would not get too excited over Chuck's comments..

BTW: My purchase price was going to be under $700 with awards... and 12 month free financing.

I tried to watch Piano Man Chuck once, or twice, but I hate his videos. He yapps too much, and plays too little, and when he DOES play .... well, I hate his videos.
I don't consider him a reliable source on pro gear.

Fran for $700 I would buy one. The keys on the Havian plays very nice not to heavy and not to light. The piano sound is good but I didn't like the e-piano's. The styles are great as always on Korg. You can load your own samples (32mb)

Main problem I had was the noise I heard through the headphone.

He likes it, because he treats it like a stagepiano first and like an arranger seccond

We went with a Yamaha DGX based on a recommendation by my brother, a 40+ year choral teacher. He plays a Yamaha acoustic piano...makes most Stage pianos look reasonable $$$. My brother has no interest in arrangers.

Since I'm not a piano player, I wanted to experience weighted keys...and still have arranger functions. My brother thought the DGX would be a good way for me to do this.

A good friend, who has made his living playing keyboards, plays some sort of 88 key Fatar keyboard midi'd to a Yamaha PSR.

Then, of course, there's Yamaha's CVP series of Clavinovas...big $$$.

😊

By the way, $700 for a Korg Havian? I would have bought it.

It seems that Havian price has been going down. Maybe a new model is coming out soon?

I think so.....at least I think the Havian 30 will be discontinued soon..

BTW: Kraft music offers the keyboard at $799, but through Amazon I got another 15% prime card discount and 12 months free financing..
