Still researching a wireless mic. What does anyone? think about this setup. I heard it's for a professional singer, etc.

Also, still contemplating Crown too.

Thanks for any suggestions/ideas

That is the one I have. It's really very good. But it may be expendable. I don't use it. smile
I'm working right now, but if you have any questions I will try to help.

P.S. As I said I was at work and read this in a hurry. My mic is wired, not wireless. It sounds much like SM58. It is quite comfortable and sounds good if e.q.'d properly.

Went ahead and got the wireless GLXD and SM35 for a tryout.

After (2) gigs (and baptism by fire) I am good with this. During sound check and walking around the room, it seemed to fill the room very well vs my dynamic mic. I've learned how to position the mic correctly (talked with Shure 4x on various issues - BTW, one good company you can actually talk to live).

Sure is nice to move around, look down and around and not miss the hot babes.

Opens up a whole new 'live' ballgame.....fun times.

The past couple of nights I used the wired version of SM35. Pleasantly surprised by the sound, after I got it adjusted. My back has been bothering me and this allows me to move around behind the keyboard somewhat. I also auditioned the AKG, and it sounds really great, but not as comfortable for my big old head.
It's on it's way to Bruno!
Maybe I'll check out the wireless version. I have a Samson wireless unit, but it won't work. I suppose it doesn't supply phantom power.

Don, you would look great in a headset mic - just gotta find one that fits that old head of yours. wink

Actually the SM35 is fairly comfortable, stays in place and sounds fine. And it is inexpensive as well!

Yes, very comfortable and stays in place good. Contrarily, my head is a bit small though and it doesn't seem to reduce down. Not a deal breaker though, 'cause I'm really liking the freedom and better expression.
