Jimmy Beaumont, of Since I Don't Have You fame, died a week ago but it was just in today's paper here. I note that this article mentions he got a $25,000 tip at a gig!

I bet he made a lot of money from royalties on that. Hopefully, he didn't get beat out of it. That song is certainly a career maker song.

Bill, that's one song I've tried to do often, but always seem to screw it up. I had not heard he died.

JImmy didn't even sing it the last few years. The girl in the band hit the last note ... just like when Billy Joel does Innocent Man. Like Gary D says - gettin old ain't for sissies. Sure glad, I'm a young buck.
