(1). Speaker directly in my face makes the ringing in my ears worse.
(2). I cant use my mic rig that attaches to my keyboard stand...PAas in the way. I had wanted to use it as a monitor for live gigs but that won’t work with my mic set up.
That said, the sound of the PAas is exceptional. If I didn’t gig, didn’t have the SSV.3, I think I might have kept it.
I took Donny’s advice and am using my SSV.3 as a monitor. As good as I believe the PAas to be, the SSV.3 really is that much better sounding....and I own it.

Glad you tried it and got it out of the way..... good luck use what you have you'll be fine !!
They should add mounts for an HK Audio (Korg is the distributor in the USA) solution for the Pa4X. Separate sub and the Mid/High speakers attached to the keyboard. Then there will be room for a boom and a music stand or iPad mount.

I modified my mic stand to extend another 5-6 inches, so it stayed attached to my X stand. It worked, but looked clumsy. With the savings of time and space, using the PAAS, carrying a mic boom seems like a small tradeoff for great sound, and portability.

I would have loved to, but I had to send it back when I realized that it didn't fill my "wish list" of must have features. I use an iPad that must be monitored through those same speakers, along with my mic (into the built in harmonizer). The way Korg designed it, you can only monitor the line inputs, if the mic is not used. When you use the mic preamp, it disconnects the signal path of that second aux input. Weird.

Mel - it's not a problem on the PA900, it's an issue with the "X" series when you use the PAAS. I wanted to use a 4x/PAAS system, and it's not possible.
