My go-to site for Youtube mp3 downloads, the one Don Mason recommended (for private listening) has shut down. Same for the Youtubes (for personal viewing).
A little Googling confirms that the industry is going after all the download sites with threats.
Anyone have a legal site they are using to download music from a video.......BUT.......without having to download a software program first?
Thanks Nigel....I was trying to translate it on "Google translate" from Russian until I finally figured out the language was German. Then I saw "English" on the bottom.........one click and....I was pleased I didn't have to learn German to use this.
Do you use this site regularly?...........another way of saying "have you found it to be safe?"
Back to "square one!" I tried it (http://convert2mp3.net/) and I got a message saying "We are sorry. Converting music videos from YouTube is not possible in your territory / region."
All the sites I use are legal....but the catch is you actualy pay for the music you download, but here is the neat thing....the artists and writers then benefit.
I can give you a list if you like, but maybe thats not what you are looking for

Thanks, Tonewheel, but that stops me dead in my tracks right there. I don't mind purchasing songs I really like, but, cash only......I don't do any purchases online. Don't put any personal information at all online. Don't even buy interesting stuff I see on Amazon for that reason. It limits me, but too much hacking and scamming going on these days.

I purchase Visa debit cards at my local credit Union to use online. Cost $103 for $100. No personal information needed. Cheap identity protection.

Jerry.......thanks for tipping me off on this. It might be the answer I need. But, what is a "local credit Union?" Or should I call Visa and inquire about it?
I've always paid cash for everything, so I don't know much about the in's and out's of banking. Don't even know what an ATM machine is. Still don't understand the system after reading this:
