OMG. Finally a video worth posting. This is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Russ, please watch this. Everyone knows I'm not religious but I could probably be convinced that this kid was touched by an angel....or maybe the ghost of Chet Baker.

I watched about five more of his videos after this one, and it just gets better and better. Never heard of this kid before but I will certainly be following him from now on. We say this a lot, but this time it's true...GREAT FIND, Fran. The other two musicians are no pikers, either. BTW, where are all these great female bass players coming from? Also, interesting comments from the pianist about the tune.

Great find, Fran. This youngster really is incredibly talented and I wish I could be around two decades from now to hear him at that stage of his musical career.

Trumpet playing is a very physical thing so not only the kids musical aptitude is great but he's got the "chops" to go with it.

Wow ... way to dampen a great mood. What's to say playing music isn't a great life for a kid? That's all I've ever done!

Someone as great as he at that young age had to really dedicate himself to music...even so being a kid is needed also...sometimes "stage parents" don't realize that ....happens all the time at the childs expense.

Why do we always have to find something negative about any and everything? Do we know anything at all about this kid's background, parents, childhood, etc. No? Then why assume the worst? Try having a positive outlook on things; you'll feel better.
