Both the S-950 and S-970 are very readable in most conditions. The only time they would not be is when there is a florescent light directly overhead, which can be the case in some jobs where the player failed to pay attention to the lighting situation. I even found the S-950 quite readable outdoors when I was in the shade, which was a huge improvement over the older Tyros series and early PSR models. Yamaha listened and changed it's displays to super twist HD technology, which was requested by players several years ago. Good luck, Gary

Donny, as you very well know, I never sat very low - I wanted the audience to see more of my beautiful body and smiling face. Unfortunately, those 2 attributes have went to Hell in a handbasket. Gettin old ain't fer wimps and sissies. Gary
