Have used the KN7000 style convert disk. It's limited to specific keyboards. I find it somewhat awkward to use. What I have converted sounds alright after necessary edits have been done.

Hi Alikat,
Tank's for your fast answer.
As a matter of fact , I need the Information About what that Software, on the KN7000, does to Styles from Aother Keyboards like Solton's, Yamaha's , and so on , compare to Software "Style Convert 2000",that I can buy
From some locations on Web , that fit all the
Keyboards , but the Price is very expansive.
What sepose to be my best choice ?

Regards
uzi ,

Hi.
Why not visit http://www.emc-musicsoftware.de/
and download a demo of EMC, then
you'll see what that programme have to offer.
It's a great tool, the "2000 version" are better
than ever, but unfornately the KN7000 or KN6000/
6500are not yet supported. You have to convert to
KN5000 to start with.
If you use the EMC, or the keyboardversion of it,
(enclosed in the KN package), you'll have to edit
quite a bit on your keyboard to make it sound how
you like it to do.
EMC now also support Kawai Z1000 and CP Piano,
also Tyros, so the possabilities grow for each
update to come.
Happy playing and converting

Thank's for your kind words Arthur. Yes, time goes,
and so do the progress in developing new models of
keyboards.
I peek in almost every day, and it's good to see
that this forum grows and a lot of new members as
well as the old ones keep up the knowledge and
continue to help and support eachother.
This also keep me updated in much of the new stuff
regarding use of the KN6 and/or 7000 as well as the
other matters we see here.

Thank's for the additional info Johnnie, I was not
aware of the fact that there was a updated convertdisk
available from Technote that manage to deal with the
new models.
It should have been added for free into the KN7 box as
an update to the one supplied from the manufacturer, or
downloadable for the KN7 customers, but that is only
my personal thoughts, of course.....

If anyone have this disk, do you see or hear any different
result than usual when use the old one after converting?
Are the result the same as i.e. when use the EMC, or the
old disk, that it's the KN5000 format who is the "final
conversion"?

it's the same module type, just with the new input formats similar to Styleworks 2000 Gunnar.
