Today I tried to load a style from my SD card and got the message that Error 81 did
occur and loading that style was not possi-
ble. My manual does not know Error 81.
Anybody knows this problem?
What means Error 81.

I have a vaque memory that it is reporting that you are trying to load something from an older keyboard. .... but not sure.

In my book the messages only go up to Error 71 - can I suggest you initialize your keyboard and then try loading that SD card file again - it is the same for all the files on your SD Card or just one particular one?

It could be the SD card telling you it's full. I have six SD cards five of which will not accept any more data for storage. I got an 'error' message as each one reached its capacity although the card itself showed several unused folders. I understand the amount of data a card can store is firstly, of course, based on the size of card being used and secondly, how much data you actually choose to save. Most professionals save very little mostly because they choose not to via the composer/sequencer etc., but I am very much an amateur so I choose to save everything in the 'EXPAND' mode and mostly 'ALL' Panel Memories which of course quickly uses up the storage space.

Maybe it's is something of this sort that is causing you to get this 'error' message.

I cannot for the life of me think why our keyboards do not just show "SD Card FULL" instead of showing an 'error' message but I guess we'll never know now will we?

Hope this helps!

Hi there - I have a Technics Style disk for KN3000, KN920,& KN1500 named Patterns Plus Vol.2 which when copied onto my SD card and loaded comes up with the error

ERROR 80!

Data on SD that you are using is for a differant product.

In spite of that the style does actually load.

I have traced the original Technics Music Disk Collection floppy disk that I copied this from and get the same message.

If I remember rightly, these Technics Music Disk Collection floppies, which I purchased from Technote, were, in the early days sometimes shipped packaged with two separate Floppies, and were for more than model of keyboard. Others had the styles duplicated on the same disk but 1-10 could be for KN2000 and 11-20 could be KN5000 or similiar.

As I never owned a KN3000, KN920 or KN1500, but have had KN5000, KN6000 and KN7000, it would seem that I did get a set of two floppies and that I have kept the wrong ones.

Could this have happened to you Wis? Joan

But the opening words in this tread are:
"Today I tried to load a style from my SD
card.." not save into it.
There most be something else that are wrong, or?
