Hello.

Can someone explain what R. Base is?
Chord seems to tie in with this also.

If I have the APC ON but no rhythm is playing, and LEFT is OFF. I can hear the R. Base and the Chord Sound when I hold down a chord on the left split side. I can change these sounds going to the SOUND> PART SETTING and scroll to the very end, or use MIXER.

When the rhythm is playing these sounds cancel out and the APC setting takes over... Kinda confused on what the concept is and when to use it.

it's just a throwback to 2 manual and pedal organs - you can simulate the same thing.

Hi Alex and thanks for the answer.

Am I understanding you correctly, the left split would be the lower keyboard of the organ, the right split is the upper keyboard and the R. Base would be the pedals?

I find having the base and chord sound as a default setting annoying. If I am playing without rhythm?style, with strings in the left and a violin on the right the bass and chord sound are not wanted. Other than going to to sound setting and saving in the regs, is there something else I can do to remove the default setting?
Thanks, John C.

yes, basically a historical decision for the people who moved over from organs.

John, zero the sliders in custom panel. After you switch on press Custom, from then on all your settings and future panel saves needn't have root bass and chord.

you're welcome. For what it's worth I think it's out of date too as a default, but if you don't want it just switch apc off or left conductor on without rhythm. A lot of church players like it.

Hi Technicsplayer. I also don't like that base chord. I didn't understand what you meant when you said zero the sliders in custom panel etc etc. I am very new to this keyboard, and need things spelt out. I understood about putting the APC off and using a left voice. Could you help, Jess
