Backing up songs to floppies and naming them with only 6 characters can test our ingenuity. So as a bit of light relief from those serious postings of late, here are some that I have backed up recently - Can you guess the titles?
I'll post the answers in a few days time - if I can remember what they are

01PROCOL
026FT6IN
03TM2SAG
04SLOPJB
051000IS
06LTMETR
07ICCLER
08JSTCAL
09GDBDUG
10ITS4AM

John ..... I faced this dilemma a number of times when using 'floppies' .... I think I got 6 of the 10, but that's not a passing grade is it?!?!

Thanks to all who took part in the file name test. The winner was Alec with 9 correct and Bill Norrie runner up with 8 correct. Unfortunately no prize money has been awarded as all cash has been placed in the KN7000 account and cannot be used for any other purpose

John,
Are the numbers THAT important to you that you would give up TWO digits for? I realize it keeps tham in order, but I change the order of every set I ever play. There is no preset plan to the order of tunes.

Hi Dave,
I don't give up 2 digits. When you save a Technics File to floppy disc, there are only 6 character spaces provided for naming the file. The numbering is automatic. If you removed the numbering, then the keyboard wouldn't recognize the file. I don't suppose it will be any different with the KN7000, but hopefully the SD cards will allow long file names as does the HDSX
