I’m thinking of getting back to arranger playing via either a PA-1000 or a PA4x (but 61 keys this time around). I'm thinking Roland and Korg. Inclined towards Korg again because of the versatility. But....there’s too many Korg models floating around. They are coming out too fast for me to keep track of.

I found this list. Can anyone add the Korg keyboards that came out after the last one listed (2017--Korg PA700)?

Wikipedia list of Korg keyboards

And....what's the best Korg keyboard to look at, with bang-for-the-buck, short of the Pa4x?

And.....I really like the styles on the Musikant. Been listening to Jurgen playing it over the years. Is there any way to buy one to use here? Or get the styles and use it on any American made Korg machine?

Probably PA1000 would be the best compromise short of PA4X. I prefer the additional controls on the 4x, especially the foot controller EC5.
Musikant styles are readily available for all models.

Don...the PA1000 doesn't take a foot controller?

Where do I find out about the Musikant styles? Are they available for the 3x also?

I'm only interested in styles....all "sounds" are good these days.

The PA1000 does NOT accept the Korg EC5 pedal. It is possible to buy a third party midi foot controller.
Just happen to have the styles. https://app.box.com/s/81mgwpb6u5gy4frbrzhhym1x4nw32hs3

The Pa4x is by far the best working machine for a OMB. Just my opinion. Mark knowing you, I would have to say buy the Pa4x. If dollars are at question, buy a used one. Just try your best to know who you are buying ot from.
You will thank me, John C.

This is what I mean about the "positive" 4x comments in this room. I'm also thinking now about buying a 61 note 4x and letting the 76 3x sit on Ebay until it sells. Most of them on there are in "used" condition so I have that advantage.

But....I'm absolutely confused. Most of the reason I bought the Pa3x was that I was going to download the Musikant styles onto it....I love those styles! AFTER I bought it, I was informed by a few that the Musikant styles won't "fit" the Pa3x...that the drum sounds will be different or something like that. Remember I never learned the OS...not even how to download styles.

This is a "game-changer" for me if I can load the Musikant styles. I listened to Jurgen playing them on his Pa3x all the time. THAT was what I wanted and the reason for purchase.

So....are you saying

1) these are the styles Jurgen used to play on his Musikant over there?

2) I can load them and they'll work perfectly in my machine?

If so, I'll keep it and save myself 4K!

They worked in my PA3X and in my PA4X. Not sure if it is complete but there are a lot of good styles in there. The 4X has a new sound engine, more memory and lots of new sounds.

I have both a brand new Korg PA 4x 76 and Korg PA 1000 for sale on eBay if you are interested in these two Korg Autoarranger offerings.

Thanks for posting, but I'm curious. You have both of the keyboards I was interested in but you're selling them. I thought they were the best out of the keyboard lot?

May I ask why you're letting them go?
