So here's the ending of the story about "what happened to the Pa3x/Pa4x swap."

Zuki already said it...."The story is that I left Mark 'hanging' with my indecisiveness and he was kind enough to hang in there with me".........so I'm really just repeating with an additional explanation.

Yes, he had me confused about what he was doing for two weeks, but I don't think he knew that on my end I was going through some major issues at the time in addition to a battery of medical testing over my knee and other parts. And, to be fair, I didn't tell him. I think if he knew what was happening on my end, he WOULD have been more "decisive."

The next day I got a lengthy letter of apology from Jim, written as a gentleman would write, and I believe he was sincere. I wrote back and told him I can understand....I would be indecisive too if I was trading a $4K keyboard.

It's water under the bridge now that we're both more aware and respectful of our individual situations...the swap is off. But, putting everything aside, I did find Jim to be a very pleasant person, sociable, amiable, easy to talk to, interesting, pretty aware about music and gigging, and I'll use the word again...a gentleman. He's a hard guy not to like smile

Forgot to mention. I was thinking about what to do with the 3x these last few days. This morning I got a private email from a friend here in the Zone advising me the OS is pretty similar on the 3x and 4x. So I made the decision to start learning the 3x (before it decomposes) and if I like what I'm hearing, I'll purchase the 4x but this time a 61 key.

Thank you Mark smile Glad you got that pm about the 3X. I think you are going to be blown away, once you start seeing its potential. I still think they (3 and 4) are very very close. If I don't sell my 3X now, I won't be disappointed and I still play it live, after all that! I am working hard to make the switch, but the 3 is so incredible still, that I am in no hurry to switch.
