Can anyone advise me of a simple way to permanently change the key of a midi file that I use on my KN7000?
Thanks
Rog

quickest method: menu, sequencer, range edit, transpose, track all, last measure any number bigger than song, set semitones and OK. Now correct the drums: track 10, set semitones - (minus) previous figure, OK, save as smf, gm(2), don't need panel header or 1 measure space.

Thanks very much Alec - I'll have a go at that after I've cut the lawn today...
Best wishes

There will be no lawn cutting in the Northeast USA today - temp at 100+, with high humidity...

all the grass here is still pretty brown from the heatwave, so cutting avoided for a while more - the midis are however all in a good key

Rog,
I have always changed my midi files into Technics files giving me the advantage of using the Registration memory, Technics sounds and possibly the Technics drums or styles.
I added a chord track – all rests, then saved.
