Before downloading and comparing sound for sound on sound banks in manuals, can anyone save me some time and tell me if the sound mapping is the same between the sd2/4and sd1000? And subsequently vs the sd7? Want to know if midi accordion currently run through sd4 will have to be reprogrammed or be plug and play through sd1000 or sd7/60..

Sparky the GM2 mapping will be the same.. but the units have different banks.. as an example the SD1000 uses 5 banks (one for audio loops). I think the SD2 has less... the SD7 may have more..

They will use the same MSB/LSB addresses for common sounds..

This is no different with other brands like Roland and the expansion boards.. they have designated addresses..
