Interesting 24 track recorder / 24 track USB interface from Tascam. Screen looks a little dinky though!

Their view on recording has been updated by DAw's and IPAD apps ..

A 24 channel usb interface has merit. Recording 24 tracks at the same time to a computer is pretty cool.

I had a VS-2480 CD as well. Great for it’s time...but kind of a white elephant these days.

Tascam has been around a very long time ...I hope the continue to advance with the times for more to come.

That may well be so, but if it does the job (and I'll bet it does), and it's in your comfort zone of working, that not a bad thing. And in a blind test who, unless they have exceptional ears, is going to be able to tell the difference between the Tascam and the latest and greatest?
