Do you think with sales of Genos lost due to the higher price point will Yamaha drop the price on the next not far off Genos2

No, not in short term, but maybe G1 will drop a bit when or if any G2 arrive if there is any items still in stock.
But, is there any 'lost sales'? Where to find that info?
I think a new G2 will sell aprox the same quantity as G1 ...

Actually i think they didn’t loose any sales...

If someone wants to pay €3000 he is also going to pay €4000 if thats the price and he knows it will(it never did) not drop..
And someone that can’t pay €4000 will also never pay €3000

There is no new Genos comming. Not at all. Price drop is due internetpricing.
Some stores like to sell without making money. But problem is, if must follow as shop. the official price is stil 4995 euro. But German shop is blowing up the price even before it was available.

But then Keymusic itselves is known as a pricefighter.... i had some very nice deals there in the past.... much cheaper then local music shops... but complaining about low prices? I think being a pricefighter and offering lowest price on your website makes you part of the problem..

Maybe you should just advertise with best service... espescially in the music branche people are still willing to pay for real service, espescially gigging musicians...

And Yamaha has a tendency to be the apple of the music industry..
They try to force shops into obeying their minimal prices...

its the shop who makes the price. We dont sell at this internetprice. We give 5 years waranty an exclusive content and bcs I know the Genos inside out we can give all support they want. Even the demonstrator for Yamaha dont know the Genos like we do. That makes the difference...
