This is another one I found on my hard drive, but it's just a hodge-podge of sounds I was trying out impromptu when I first got the PA3x so I'm not embarrassed by it. You can tell I was fumbling around trying to work the trumpet and trombone against each other and when I couldn't find these sounds while playing, I resorted to the organ patch. You'll also hear notes coming in on the bottom end 'cause I kept going over the split point. The "gaps" where nothing is playing is because I just plain couldn't figure the whole thing out (switching sounds) while trying to play. Disregard the organ at the beginning...I was just trying to get my bearings while looking for the sounds to play.

Anyhow the reason I'm posting it is because I listened to this a few times and started thinking that trumpet, trombone, organ, when played properly, would really sound authentic. Here I am "poo-pooing" the PA3x all this time, and, heck.....I didn't realize how good the machine actually is.

I'm going to try and start learning it. I have a feeling this might be just what I needed to hear to get back into arranger playing.

Nice improves Mark. I like you note choices. It’s aparent you have a good understanding of how melody and harmony work together.

Maybe consider turning of the back ground horn riffs at certain sections. They become a bit too repetitive ( for my taste) and get in the way of your fine solo work.

You have a great keyboard that sounds great for live playing. The vocal processor
can’t be beat! The chord sequencer is an amazing tool for two handed playing and multi instrumentalist like yourself. Also Korg seems to have the best tutorials available for free on YouTube. What’s not to love?
