Since the days of my first Yamaha,a 400 series, I’ve been experiencing some level of Organ touch.

Since then I’ve taken every opportunity that I’ve had to play(simulated)hammered action. Maybe it’s my days as an acoustic guitar player, but I do love hammered action.

Thing is, most arrangers, are some form of Organ touch.

Love my Genos; but I’m still looking for that right touch.

Hammered action does not only have a different feel but requires a different way of playing... altough on the kronos 88 keybed(same goes for the montage8) the keybed is light enough and not graded to allow a bit of both. Meaning you come a long way when playing it the way you would play a synth semi weighted keybed..

There is by the way a huge difference between an organ keybed and a semi weighted keybed(the one in the Genos) an organ keybed has no vellocity and allways plays at max vellocity. On top of that it has waterfall keys, for quick glissando’s. While i understand what you mean its wrong to call the Genos keybed “organ touch”

Another nice keybed with great 88 key ballanced hammer action also suited for playing organs is kawais mp7 (se). When set to organ it uses it tripple sensor technollogy to set the trigger point of the sounds much more akin to an organ..

Harold,

I’m happy with the keybed and pianos. I like the PX560 better than the DGX650.

Down the road, when I’ve had more time with the piano, I’ll go more in depth.

I also looked at the P 515 but to my way of thinking, the PX560 is a lot more keyboard for less money.
