Great combo... tough i would go for the 88 key version..
the 88 keyversion has got a TP40 keybed, which is much more hammer action/piano feel, the 76 key version has a TP100 which is more like a trade off between semi weighted keys and hammer action..

IF you just want to use the arranger as external device and no other modules nor a laptop with VST's... the Nord stage is excellent..
you can set up external channel A for left hand and channel B for right hand and never look back.. this way the SD40 feels like the perfect part of the nord..

In my case, i would go for the Kronos or even better a montage (or even a modx8).. because i also want to controll other modules and VST's with it at the same time i use the SD90... and they are just better suited for that as they have 16 channels for assigning anything you want to it..

Nevertheless i love the idea behind this..

Hi guitpic1,

I have it so (nord + ketron) and I'm happy smile

When I need piano or newest synth sounds - sound is best on Nord Stage ...
When I need live background - best is Audya at all.

BTW: I thing Audya is still flagship of Ketron products and for my gigs better than SD7/9 (I own and try SD7 too). Why?

- first has SAMPLER (I know only in mono wave, but very usefull, for precision synth/sampled waves I'v use Nord)
- Audya has on AUDIO DRUMS track equalizer! Very usefull for some adjustment Kicks, cymbals etc ... adjustable separately for any styles ...)
- amazing and a lot ROCK styles! More rock styles than SD7/9 ...
- more LIVE GUITARS and AUDIO DRUMS! Creating acurate song styles ...
- 4 band parametric equalizer on MASTER OUT (SD7 only 2 band)
- separate OUT3/4
- Audya has integrated Power unit! + a lot space inner, so I build in all AC adapters for powering all gear I use (tablet, tc-helicon, ui mixer, transmiters ...) so I have only one AC plug - quick setup smile

I know Audya has a little old synth sounds, so all new modern sounds (lead) I can make on Nord Stage. You can find many modern programs/samples for today music songs on https://www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage...3fa6a5706cf93f3 like original!

So I'm now lucky with this setup and modern sound smile

Nice Rig combination, very versatile for live play on stage...the Ketron Audya I agree is a classic TOTL arranger that can do so much.
.....Love the JBL Eon One speakers too!...
I have two units myself as do a few others here on SZ great sound.

good luck

Good assessment
I have the Audya 76 and agree with you, and I will never sell it,like I did the G70 and KN7000. These are classic TOTL boards never to be seen again.

Are there plans to discontinue support and production of Audya series? Same for sd2 and sd5?

No one spends more time supporting ALL brands of keyboards that he sells than Frank. He is very experienced and understands everything about everything he sells.
