ebay charges a straight 10% on the total of the selling price AND shipping charge plus if you had any add on features.

I used to sell my handmade teds on eBay , many years ago, when the company was relatively new, don’t remember them charging those sort of fees back then. I wouldn’t have used them, because in those days I had other options where I wouldn’t have paid any fees.


20 years down the track.
Sold a heap of my collection earlier this year, sure left a dent in the pocket. Couldn’t beleive what it ended up costing me, but, I didn’t really have any other options, and at least they sold.

At least you’re aware of what they do charge

If you use PayPal they will charge 2.9% plus 30 cents for each transaction.

I agree it's higher than I like, but when you think about it it is common for salespeople to get 10% commission. So, there you go.

I should have gave my local craigslist add Yamaha PSR-970 a little more time...Just got a caller wanting to buy it!...I wanted $1200 net. price...I had to Increase the keyboard $170 on Ebay Fees and shipping cost to get My $1200...I always like to save Buyers Money when possible...Oh Well sometimes it just does not happen as planned...That's why I love to Buy from and sell to our Zone Members...I send a check when it clears they ship to Me...Old school the way I like it....Harold...Oh Yes recently when I sold My Korg PA4X 76 on craiglist a Gentleman and Wife drove down to Western Pa from the state of New York. Paid Me CASH He was happy. Drove home with keyboard,case,and Stand....Oh Well
