I was thinking of a way to improve the rotary effects for my Numa Compact 2x. Instead of shelling out $500 for a rotary pedal like the Neo Ventilator II for a $699 keyboard, I decided to try out the IK Multimedia Leslie® plug-in. Suzuki/Hammond must have let IK Multimedia in on the secret recipe. Very realistic. I ran both my NC2x and organ VSTs through it. They all sounded great. I've read some posts by pro Hammond players. They all swear by it.

When you say standalone, do you mean as a separate hardware module that is independent of the computer, or as a standalone program on the Computer, if the latter there are a number of free VST Hosts that would allow you to run it just like a standalone program.

I mean for use as a stand alone effect routed on I-Pad with midi/audio interface just like a Neo ventilator or Lester K modul .to use on the Genos or the Nord 5D

Thats the nature of VST effects..(and most instruments) they need a host, which not necessarilly needs to be a daw.. it works also very well in mainstage.. and should work well in hosts like catabille

According to most studio musicians, this effect works best with BX-3 from GSI, thats the same engine as in the crumar mojo and the gemini but then in a VT package

How does this stack up to the native Instruments B4 II sim?

The amplitube on ipad does not contain the leslie, only some guitar amps, which is a pitty

Audiobus 3 app on ipad makes it the perfect device for what you just described..the app allows you to route audio and midi, and add effects to the sounds.. even au units(apples version of vsts) are supported

I dont know, the b4 is no longer supported and only available in 32 bits.. but if you like the b4 || it will only sound better with this leslie

NI has alot of fans.... Wonder how many switched?

B4 II has been replaced by this package : vintage organs for kontakt about 9 years ago




There is an improved version of b4 II in there
Its part of NI komplete, with quite a few good organs

Personally i prefer the B3 organ in mainstage tough..
And most of all the GSI B3, which is in my gemini but also available in vst.
