MaMa has finally relented a little and allowed me to buy last thing I really needed from Sweetwater. I got a Gator gig bag for my PSR 3000. I now have everything I nee to do a gig. All I have to do now is find one. Main project after first of the year is canvassing the nursing homes and animal clubs within the area.

Yes, I've read all of Gary's posts about doing the NH circuit. The PSR 3000 was his. I bought it over a year ago but went through some rough times medically and am now finally getting it together to go gigging.

Good luck to you, my Arkansas friend:

Sounds like you may be in for some "driving time" unless Mountain Home has grown significantly since I was last there. I don't perform (except for myself) and admire your courage.

Keep us posted whenever it is convenient. Don't forget nursing homes and senior citizen centers. Gary's advice (you've already absorbed) is pretty darn good. I hope you latch onto something as solid as Don Mason has kept going for years down in the Shreveport area. Two great role models!

Regards, ----Dave

I played nursing homes for 9 years and I credit Gary Diamond's advice here more than anything for being able to do that. Best wishes on your new endeavor ekurburski.

Thank you all for your encouragement. It's not to many that decide to do start something like this at the young age of 75 but what the heck. My days take forever to get through with nothing to do so I figure at the least I will now have something to do.
