“I also think that it can be an interesting challenge to be with no arranger for a while. Sometimes when I want something very badly, I start to question whether there’s a lack of something in my life or on the contrary too much of it… and the answer is usually ambiguous”.

I admire the depth of your thinking. Yes, there have been times when I ask the same ques

The question is always the same. Is music and keyboards everything? Am I missing something? The answer is always the same.

I am not sure about all these questions, but I am sure glad that both music and keyboards are in my life. They have brought me pleasure --- they have helped make me who I am.

Wow, that’s a bit deep, John C.

Thats not how i work..
I made an offer, and am going to check out tomorrow
And if the Genos doesnt have any real visible or audible damage,
I will keep my word and pay what the man and i agree uppon..

Maybe i am to honest for this world
But we have a saying in Holland
Honnesty make you last longer..
Open and honest, thats what i allways try to be..

Hi Bachus:

I admire your honesty and strength of character. Your question has many variables, making it difficult to offer an applicable reply. Would I buy a knowingly damaged Keyboard? It depends on why I wanted it. (Use it for parts, have the skills to repair it myself... or have access to someone who does, believe the damage is so minor it would not affect it's playability, and the list goes on.)

Good luck, not matter the reason. Personally, I would always investigate (if possible, to understand the damage) then negotiate to make the potential risk more palatable... unless the "deal" is too good to refuse.

There are some data recovery tools, also some free stuff that you could try before you give up the USB stick.
Also remember if you bought any Yamahapacks, you can get them redowloaded for free in Genos format from your account page.

Bachus,

Just check it out thoroughly and I'm sure you will be fine. You have enough experience with TOTL boards to know if something is wrong or not. And if you plan to keep the Genos for a while then cosmetic issues are not so much of a problem for resale as an older board would be expected to have some of those.

Good Luck

Dont worry
I will only buy if the damage is just the outside dent
I will test the system toroughly
And have a tool with me to make sure that the bottom of the keyboard is not bent

I called yamaha and the small dent is no reason to void warranty in Holland

When you sit behind the keys the little dent is almost not noticable

If there is any doubt at all, i will not buy
And if there is no doubt, i will have made a great deal

You could take the USB drive to a high tech store and see if their technicians can save your data.
good luck, charles

I've just seen at PSR Tut that you're on the way home with your 'new baby'.
