My first post on this forum, many months ago, was a version of
Georgia on my mind and commented that I hadn`t heard any recorded
versions that included the verse. As I`ve now been encouraged by
various members to include vocals on posts to hear the words,I
thought I would try Georgia with a different style than before.
I still like to do the verse in the middle but that`s just my
preferance.

Terrysutt, thank you, you sang and played with a nice feeling. From the sound of the intro you are playing a Yamaha keyboard.
Please post more of your music, John C.

One of my favorite songs (and not just because I live here smile ). My (hopefully constructive) criticism would be of (ironically my favorite instrument) the organ. The problem (from my perspective), too much, too long, too prominent, and no change in registration. Organ is one of the absolute BEST backing instruments for tunes like this, but can be overpowering if not used judiciously. Ideally, they should ALWAYS be used with an expression pedal so as to easily regulate the volume or 'presence' in a musical passage. It should never be omnipresent like God, and that's easy to do because of the powerful nature and character of it's tone. I would suggest NOT playing it continuously behind the vocals but bringing it in for emphasis or 'color' at strategic spots in the vocal. Remember though, these are just MY opinions and should be taken as such. I applaud you for including that 'middle part that never gets played smile '. I'm one of the ones that's guilty of never including it; in fact, I almost forgot it was there. Nice job, though, that G80 sounds damn good.
